Printer fan? makes clicking noise while warming up

Hi,

I have an issue with the printer making a very loud clicking noise, almost as if something is hitting one of the fan blades.

After the printer has been running for 5 or 10 minutes this sound appears to decrease and is less of an issue.

The sound stays quiet even while printing which is a bit odd, what is this sound coming from?

Is this going to damage the printer long term?

Many thanks

Hi James, Did the sound come from the back side fan?  If the sound is from back side, please open the back fence and check whether the cable leans to fan. Then put the cable to aside of fan and check whether the noise disappear.

Hi Hanson,

Thanks for your reply, I did open the back fence but the noise did not seem to be coming from there.

I couldn’t figure out where exactly but appeared to be coming from somewhere further inside (perhaps underneath?)
