To the UNIZ team.
Excuse my Google translation.

■ Background
Error trying to activate with application for Android tablet
Firmware update also error

I had no choice but to make a WiFi connection from a PC.
At that time, it became “restricted access”, but it was connected to the printer from the browser.
However, the printer was not visible from the PC application.

Activation succeeded at PC.
However, it failed to update the firmware.
From the PC application, the printer was not displayed on the WiFi connection.
Since there was no choice, I brought the SLASH body into my room.
The printer was displayed for the first time by USB connection.
I have updated the firmware to 3.14.

Test printing
Because it smelled in my room, I decided it was impossible to install and returned the main body to another room.

Activation and firmware update are completed, but after all WiFi connection does not show printer from PC application.
In the tablet application, the printer is displayed, of course, printing is also possible.
But since the tablet application can not print the original file, it does not mean anything.

● Q1
Please tell me the reason for becoming “restricted access”.
Please tell me how to fix “restricted access”.
Please tell me how to make the printer visible from the PC application.

● Q2
My printer is SLASH, but in both PC applications and tablet applications SLASH + was displayed.
Why is this?
Is it a manufacturing mistake?

■ Other Requests
It may be due to duplicate DHCP functions.
(But if so, I do not know why I can print with the tablet application.)
● Q3
Can I fix the firmware so that I can turn off the DHCP function of the printer?

● Q4
Will not it be possible to change the printer’s local address to whatever you like?
It is unrealistic to change the setting of all the devices according to SLASH.
It is unbearable that I have to switch Internet connection every time I print.
While downloading files from the Internet, it is unbearable that printing can not be done.

I am waiting for a reply.

Hi,before I answer your questions,I need to confirm something that you had activated the printer, and updated the firmware to 3.14 version, right? The printer can be shown in your PC application via USB connection?

As for your Q2,we upgrade the printer to plus for all backers for free in software. If you’re a backer, that’s right. So you need to select the printer type to plus in your pc application when you turn on the printer and want to use it.

I have already activated the printer and updated the firmware to 3.14.
I did 4 test prints as well.
I failed twice, but I understood that increasing the contact area of the build plate will succeed.
The accuracy of SLASH is wonderful.

I understand why it was SLASH +.
Q1
I forgot the difference between the specifications of SLASH and SLASH +, can you tell me again?
Because SLASH information is no longer in HP.

When I experimented with DHCP off router, the printer was displayed from PC application and it was able to print.
But as it is, I have to switch WiFi network every time I print.
That is, I can not print while downloading files on the Internet.
If I want to use the Internet inconveniently, I will have to prepare another PC for SLASH printing.
As expected it is unbearable.
Furthermore, I have to manually switch static IP from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.12.2.
When I use the Internet I have to do the reverse operation again.
This is not sanity.

I had no choice but to fix all the devices on the local LAN to 192.168.12. *.
This is very ridiculous.
How about designing SLASH intending to deal with other IP fixed devices on the local LAN?

Anyway, I forcibly coped with many problems by matching everything to SLASH, but I have not solved the problem of coexistence with the essential Internet.

Q2
How can I issue a print command while keeping Internet connection without using USB connection?
For ordinary 2D printers, I just want to do something commonly done.

Q3
Can not print original files with tablet application?
If you can not do it, please be able to do.
If I can not coexist with Internet download and SLASH printing, I only have to rely on tablet applications, so I sincerely hope about this.
Otherwise, I will need another PC for printing.
To me it’s truly crazy.

Well then I am waiting for your reply, thank you.

Can you show me your router type and brand?

You can have a try with the Ethernet cable, first, plug the Ethernet to the printer and restart it,then check if you can find the printer in your pc application.

By the way,our printer doesn’t support 5G router,only 2.4G available.

A1:

As a matter of fact, our printer can be connected to your local area network like a 2D printer and coexist with the equipment in the LAN. It doesn’t affect the other devices. I personally guess that the problem you meet is relationship with you or your router. To control the printer, not let your computer connect the printer’s hotspot, but let your printer connect to your LAN, and let your computer connect to the LAN to control the printer to work, just like a 2D printer.

A2:

When the first problem is solved, the second problem is readily solved

A3:

Mobile terminals (like tablets, cell phones) control printer jobs only print some models in our online stores, temporarily do not support printing your own models.

NTT GE-ONU PR-400NE (DHCP function disabled)
NEC Aterm WG1400HP (Router)
Wired LAN is unrealistic like USB.
Also, when wired LAN and wireless LAN coexist, probably it seems that wired LAN was used only as priority.

> A1:
I am glad to hear that story.
I will try to access the router tomorrow and I will try to fix it.

Hi,why do you disable the DHCP ?

Normally, the DHCP is available and the router can automatically assign IP to the  connected device. If you disable it,the printer can’t get an IP to connect the internet.Currently, our printers do not support manual IP configuration until firmware version 4.1

I just tried it because I got the information that there is a conflict of DHCP as one of the reasons to disable DHCP as one of the reasons for becoming “restricted access”.

After that, I tried again by changing various settings.
As a result, I understood that neither DHCP nor static IP is involved.

When IP was set to 192.168.12. *, It was a natural conclusion that WiFi connection can be made directly to SLASH and printing becomes possible.

However, as usual, SLASH can not be found even by connecting to a router.

It seems as if there is a separate 192.168.12. * Network and it is not connected to each other.
But it is strange that SLASH actually allows Internet access to succeed and activate it.
Even if I check the connection by putting the router’s SSID and password, it will be displayed “Connected!” Properly.

At first I thought of this.
ONU and router are on the first floor, PC and SLASH are in another room on the second floor.
Of course WiFi has high strength when connecting WiFi directly to the SLASH from the PC and issuing a print order.
Perhaps SLASH ‘s WiFi function is too poor and may be hard to connect with local LAN ….

But if so, SLASH can not connect to the Internet through a router.

SLASH leads to the router and the Internet, but a strange phenomenon that the SLASH can not be seen from the PC is occurring.

I can not think of anything anymore.

Please give me some advice for connecting to SLASH via router.

Of course.
When I directly WiFi connected to SLASH, I can print from PC, so I understand how to use.

I think there is something wrong with your router, you can have a try in another router with DHCP.

I succeeded today, thank you.
Since the payout start IP address was 192.168.12.3, it changed to 192.168.12.1 and it got connected.
Although it is often not displayed at all even by searching with the PC application, but it is probably 100% displayed when it is immediately after turning on the power to SLASH.
However, there are many times when it is not displayed after a while after searching again for confirmation once again.
However, I am glad that I know the correct setting method anyway.
I’m sorry I let you associate for a long time because I do not know easily what is causing the confusion because there are too many elements.
I appreciate your cooperation, thank you very much.

I’m sorry, but I still did not solve it completely.
Immediately after turning on the power of SLASH, the printer is also displayed, and I can issue instructions such as printing.
However, it will be impossible to operate from 30 seconds to 1 minute.
After time has elapsed since turning on the power, the printer is basically not displayed.
Although sometimes the printer was displayed only occasionally, I can not give instructions such as printing.
Although the PC application found the printer itself, it seems that there is no concrete response from the printer.

It goes without saying that inconvenience is inconvenient for normal use.
That’s why this happens as well.
It is connected immediately after turning on the power.
Provide instructions to fill the resin.
Give instructions to stop filling of resin.
The printer does not receive instructions.
There is no choice but to turn off the power.

Please help me.
Please give me some advice.

The main problem is your router. Have a try in another router with DHCP.
